Downloading the poems

All the poems presently available in hard copy can also be downloaded here. Go to the menu on the left of this text and click on the different collection titles. You will then see onscreen three examples from each collection (click on each one to enlarge it as necessary). And the complete collection be downloaded as a folder.

We are allowing ourselves this opportunity to retrieve a few poems from earlier print-runs as well. In hard copy we were unable to continue printing them for reasons of cost, but here we can return them to the total. A couple are in the commissioned collection "Poems for...waiting") but most will be added to the collection we've called "Poems for...all Ages."

Some of the poems featured here are out of copyright and for others (the commissioned ones) this project itself holds the copyright. However, please note that many of the poems have required and obtained copyright permission from publisher, the poet's estate, or relative, or from the poet him or herself. That permission has been given on condition we acknowledge on each poster the poem's source - and we display the poem-poster free of charge and not for material gain. In making the poems available online we are passing on that condition to all who download them. That is partly why we have asked you to register, since the process requires you to tick the "agreement" box. The other reason we ask you to register is that it allows us to keep track of where the poems are going, and stay in touch with you for any suggestions you have or feed-back you can give us.

23rd November 2009.  And now please welcome our latest collection, "Poems for...young lives," being uploaded even as I write this, eighteen months after the rest of the site was put together. All the poems reproduced so far for this collection were written by young people living in south eastern England. We hope to build on this idea and add to the collection over time. For more details, go to the menu on the left and click on the correct title.
As well as the poems, you will find there a short impression of the day put on video by Mike Colyer and Luke Gray.

As new collections come onstream, we shall make them available here. We shall aim to do so at regular intervals and in small groups - say, quarterly, ten poems at a time. Let's see how we go.
